Development of novel polysaccharide-based hydrogels for wound care and cell delivery
Project description
This project is a team-based effort between Roquette Asia Pacific Pte Ltd and A/Prof. Rachel Ee. The objective is to leverage on Roquette’s diverse library of plant-based materials and the team’s expertise in hydrogel fabrication to develop novel polysaccharide-based scaffolds for supporting cell growth for wound care. You will be working in a supportive group composed of scientists from both NUS Pharmacy and Roquette R&D sites located in Singapore and France.

Funding notes
A 6-month internship with the Company is included in the Scheme. Yale-NUS PhD Scholarship
Design and development of drug beads/fibrils using self-assembling macromolecules
Project description
This project is a collaborative effort between Dr. Chan Kiat Hwa of Yale-NUS and A/Prof. Rachel Ee. The objective is to leverage on the teams’ expertise on peptide and DNA self-assembly to design and develop nanostructures for drug delivery in infectious diseases. You will be able to gain skills in peptide synthesis, microbiology, biochemistry, and compound separation and identification. You will be working in well-equipped research facilities located at both NUS CREATE and the Department of Pharmacy.
