Associate Professor Pui Lai Rachel EE
​
Rachel received a Bachelors degree in Pharmacy with Honours from the National University of Singapore and PhD in Pharmaceutics from the College of Pharmacy at the University of Illinois at Chicago. After doctoral studies, she was awarded a fellowship from the Singapore Economic Development Board for overseas training in drug discovery and development in ProSkelia S.A.S., France. She returned to join her alma mater as Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy in 2006 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2015. She has remained as a registered Pharmacist with the Singapore Pharmacy Board. Professor Ee has received numerous national grants and international awards, including the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) Fellowship for research in Germany and Banco Santander/UCLA W30 Program 2014 for developing women leaders in University administration. Professor Ee and her team has widely published book chapters and research

articles in journals such as ACS Nano, Acta Biomaterialia, Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Biomaterials, Cancer Research, Journal of Controlled Release, NanoToday and PNAS. She is currently the Leader of the Drug Delivery and Pharmaceutical Technology Domain in NUS Pharmacy and is actively involved in undergraduate research planning and alumni affairs.

Nhan Dai Thien TRAM​
Nhan completed his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy with Honours at NUS in 2017. Prior to that, he was a recipient of the A*STAR school-based Scholarship from 2009 to 2010. He joined our group in 2017, having been awarded the NUS Research Scholarship. He works as a postdoctoral research fellow after his graduation.

Jun Hao CHIEW
Chiew graduated with First Class Honours in Biomedical Sciences from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in 2024. Chiew had interning at School of Pharmaceutical Science, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (HUKM), where he gained practical experience in clinical and laboratory settings. Chiew joined our group as a research assistant in January 2025.

Christine Ho Ying LOW
Christine completed her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science at La Trobe University. She had worked in the field of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging, as well as research and development in drug innovation. She joined the lab as a research assistant in February 2025.

Dhanya Mahalakshmi MURALI
Dhanya finished her Bachelor’s degree (M.Sc. Hons. Chemistry) from BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus in 2019. Then, she worked as a research scientist in the Analytical R&D division at Eywa Pharma Pvt. Ltd. India for a year. After which, she completed her Master of Science in Chemistry from NUS in 2021. Dhanya joined our group in 2022 January, having been awarded the NUS Research Scholarship.

Peiyan YU
Peiyan completed her Master's degree in Engineering at Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (Lyon, France) in 2013. She joined our group in January 2022 after several years in industrial R&D, having been awarded the NUS Research Scholarship.

Sarah Si Kai TAN
Sarah completed her Bachelor of Science (Life Sciences) with Honours at NUS in 2021 December. She joined our group in 2022 and is undertaking a collaborative project with Roquette Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, under the Economic Development Board Industrial Postgraduate Programme (EDB-IPP).

Wei Meng CHEN
Wei Meng completed his Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. After graduating, he gained valuable industry experience focusing on the development of peptide therapeutics as a Research Associate at Chugai Pharmabody Research Pte Ltd. In 2023, he became a part of our research group as a recipient of the President's Graduate Fellowship.
